The Money Situation

Alright- so here's what's up. I officially have LESS THAN 2 MONTHS TO GO!!!!!

Also, I've been slacking on posting because life is wreaking havoc on me. I interviewed for a great dream job last month and found out a little over a week ago they did not choose me. I was devastated... but at least I had my main job to fall back on. Well when I got back from camping last weekend there was a letter from my employer telling me that I was no longer employed by them. Now I got a letter from unemployment office that my claim was denied. Obviously, I'm going to dispute it. Because, obviously I"M UNEMPLOYED. And so, Jeff and I have been having a lot of serious wedding money budget concerns.

I am a very organized person, so charts make me happy. I spent the last hour making this one in photoshop. :P I makes me smile because it's pretty... but makes me cry because I'm not sure how I'm supposed to save over $4000 in less than 2 months.

Anybody want to buy one of my kidneys????

I realize I'm putting my pretty personal business out there... but it helps me to have support from wonderful ladies like you all!!! :)

  1. I am there for you! We have a vast deal of money to save in 4 months. I am so so sorry to hear about your employment troubles! I hope it all works out!! We just looked over the budget and it was a bit of a shock since we were not planning on spending as much as we are going to have to. It sucks, but you will make it work out and the wedding will be awesome!

  2. I thought I was the only one.. although not crafty with the charts .. I tried to stay organized by doing everything on an excel spread sheet. I have a payment tracker one.. that I have to admit makes my stomach turn when I see how much we owe and how we only have 1 month more to go! I’m really sorry about your job situation worst timing. But tell yourself this wedding is coming and it is going to happen.. we may struggle but it will all be worth it in the end :) head up!!

  5. Good news ladies- I got a call from my ex-boss at my last employer and he apologized for the umemployment not going through. He told me to appeal and is sending me a letter to include with it personally from him to get the process rolling faster... and he said I can start claiming from June 5th!!! (Which means we'll have enough money to put towards the wedding when I receive my back dated weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

And Jeff is working through a disability claim from last December that should get another $500- hallelujah! :)

So, I'm still getting married!!!! :)

  7. I'm glad things are little better today. At least you'll have that money to count on until you find a new job.

I know all about job searching. I've been on many interviews and you can't but help get excited, just to have your hopes crushed.

I really try to believe that everything happens for a reason, and you just shouldn't question the plan.
