Best. Week. Ever.

Lyrics regarding this past week: (just the first 1min, 10 seconds)

Sidenote- I would love to do something like this for our first dance.
Downside- We already chose our first dance song... it's been "our song" for two years now. Still brings tears to Jeff's eyes. :) It's not a funky dancy song though.

(that was not the point of this post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

The point was... I just had the time of my life!!!!!!!

Jeff and I had planned on going for our summer trip to Creation Festival like I have done for the past 13 years (him, for the past 2)... but due to saving every penny for the wedding- we couldn't afford it. So, instead we had a staycation. Or atleast that's what I called it. The family he lives with was on vacation as well so they welcomed me to stay with hiim for a few days. We had a blast. Typically we see each other once or twice a week... and very very very rarely do we spend the night together. So, this was quite a treat!!!!

I have about 5 posts in my head that I want to do to make up for it to share all the awesomeness from the past six days. So, here's a sneak peak.

We felt like real adults. First night we cooked together- he was in charge of shrimp scampi. I made spinach & artichoke bites (my original recipe using won ton wrappers). Yum.

Jeff's shrimp scampi. Delicioso- I'm blessed to be marrying an Italian man that loves to cook!!

We worked like nuts on wedding invitations!!!!My man working on woodburning 30-some hearts for the invitations. :)
He's a trooper!!!

And we took an unplanned trip to our reception venue to more accurately plan our festivities!! Oh my goodness, I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Many many many more pictures and updates to follow!!
Also, anyone else interested in/planning a surprise first dance???

I'm curious.
