NOT the Invitations. But still awesomeness. :)

So, with invitations being D-O-N-E I found myself sitting around today not sure what to do with all my free time. I decided to play around with some wire I found yesterday sifting through art supplies for my hot glue gun.

Here's the outcome:

p.s. This is just the "mrs." part because for one, Jeff might be changing his last name before the wedding for personal reasons that I'm quite happy about. :) Also- I tried to make a dot after mrs. ... and the wire snapped off--- so, note to self: no periods.

There are going to turn out to be hangers for my ladies' dresses!

Inspiration-

Stay tuned for the invitation post!!!!!!!!!!!!

In regards to the last step: Jeff and I have opted to hand deliver all but 14 invitations (out of state/far from home guests). Close family and church friends will be delivered within the next week or two. I realize that this is technically against wedding etiquette to deliver by hand and to deliver at different times... but it is saving us a boatload of money... so I'm doing it anyway. HA!

Oh, and I'm still waiting on five addresses. Their invitations are made. Three of them are being hand-delivered, but I want their address on there anyway to make 'em pretty! (Since I'm so close to being done... I cheated... and crossed it off my to-do list anyway.)

I'm a happy girl. Can't wait to post 'em!!!! :)
I've been told by those who've seen them that I should enter them in some kind of contest. Yay!!

Success.

Just for kicks.

This post is honestly just for my sanity, but if you want to read it and feel sorry for me you can. :)

Or maybe you'll learn how much stinkin' work goes into designing/making your own invitations and will opt to buy them instead. I wouldn't say I'm having regrets... I'm just wishing I didn't choose something to intense!!!!

Jeff came over and worked on invitations for another 2.5 hours with me today before he had to go into work. And my mom set aside an hour to help me out today too. :) I'm so blessed! They're getting done slowly but surely...

Goal: All done by Saturday night. Pray for me. haha :)

Pee-Your-Pants Excited.

Can I just express how excited I am about my invitations?!?! I really really really want to post them on here now, but I made a pact with myself that I wo
uld at least have all 79 assembled before I show them off. That way I feel more motivated to finish them (afterall, it is a heck of a lot of work).

In other news-
*Rehearsal dinner menu is planned: BBQ Shrimp for appetizer, Steak or Chicken choice for meal, and two undecided sides... (we still have to choose our sides for the wedding meal too). I'm seeing a pattern developing :P
*Jeff is on board for choreographing a dance number (or at least part of one!)!!! :)
*Invitations are about 1/2 done being cut... not assembled AT ALL.
*I've been toying around with looking at different hairstyles lately.

What I need to do this week-
*Call Aunt about wedding cake.

*Set up a practice session for my guitarist/vocalist.

*Send rest of expected guitar playlist to our guitarist.

*INVITATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Decide which DIY project to tackle next.

*Make some money. (so we can afford our wedding)
*non wedding related- return library books that are 3 days late :/ (oops)
*Talk to possible dance instructor.
*Call and set up appt. for alterations!!!!!

Man. Lists can be so overwhelming.

Slip for sale! :)

If anyone still needs or know anyone who needs a slip for under their gown I happen to have one that I am selling for $40 (includes shipping to continental U.S.)-

It's never been worn (except for me to try it on and realize I don't need/want a slip under my dress)- it's a drawstring top so it fits all sizes :)

Let me know!!!

Best. Week. Ever.

Lyrics regarding this past week: (just the first 1min, 10 seconds)

Sidenote- I would love to do something like this for our first dance.
Downside- We already chose our first dance song... it's been "our song" for two years now. Still brings tears to Jeff's eyes. :) It's not a funky dancy song though.

(that was not the point of this post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

The point was... I just had the time of my life!!!!!!!

Jeff and I had planned on going for our summer trip to Creation Festival like I have done for the past 13 years (him, for the past 2)... but due to saving every penny for the wedding- we couldn't afford it. So, instead we had a staycation. Or atleast that's what I called it. The family he lives with was on vacation as well so they welcomed me to stay with hiim for a few days. We had a blast. Typically we see each other once or twice a week... and very very very rarely do we spend the night together. So, this was quite a treat!!!!

I have about 5 posts in my head that I want to do to make up for it to share all the awesomeness from the past six days. So, here's a sneak peak.

We felt like real adults. First night we cooked together- he was in charge of shrimp scampi. I made spinach & artichoke bites (my original recipe using won ton wrappers). Yum.

Jeff's shrimp scampi. Delicioso- I'm blessed to be marrying an Italian man that loves to cook!!

We worked like nuts on wedding invitations!!!!My man working on woodburning 30-some hearts for the invitations. :)
He's a trooper!!!

And we took an unplanned trip to our reception venue to more accurately plan our festivities!! Oh my goodness, I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Many many many more pictures and updates to follow!!
Also, anyone else interested in/planning a surprise first dance???

I'm curious.
